Great Job Bryan!
February 19, 2013

Below is a direct compliment e-mailed to Five Guys corporate from a customer about General Manager, Bryan Reid.  This is inspirational and Bryan is an example to us all.

Dear Five Guys, An employee by the name of Bryan R. exceeds my expectations every time I visit your restaurant. I never feel like Five Guys is “fast food” and I know it is due in part to this employee. I always notice his genuine sincerity and how he seems to truly enjoy his job which impresses me. For example, I remember on one occasion last summer an elderly couple came in the door maybe 2 minutes before closing. The couple appeared tired and the gentleman asked Bryan, ” Are you closed?” I remember being impressed that Bryan smiled and happily served them even though I knew at basically 10:00p.m. he had to have been tired himself. I see Bryan doing so many things all the time while we are eating. He seems to not have an ” off “switch, which is admirable. He is at the cash register checking out a customer, or he is cleaning the tables, or preparing/ cooking food.Tonight, I noticed an older gentleman came in that was somewhat bent over as though the man could not stand up straight. The man ordered and it seemed he was struggling a little bit. I could not tell exactly what was going on, maybe the man was out of breath. Bryan actually knew him by name and asked ” Fred, would you like some water?” The man declined, but smiled. It was nice to see Bryan stop to “care”. And, he seems to be very observant of his surroundings. I do not know how he remembers so many names, but he remembered mine as he checked us out tonight as well. It was when he greeted me with such a big smile that I felt determined to “make time” tonight to write you. It is so easy to be so busy with life to not stop and give time to commend an individual for excellent care or service given. The restaurant is always spotless and the food never tastes like “fast food.” When I enter I feel like I am amongst friends. Each time I am greeted and everyone is smiling. Normally, I sit at my table while I wait for my food, but tonight I stood near and waited. I watched for a few minutes. I saw Bryan smiling while working the register and everyone he was waiting on was smiling back. It seems he has the ability to make everyone feel “at home.” Thank You, Sabrina
